I need to add my name, e.g. Ron Mcfee to selected images in a folder
(pref. all at once)

Is there any freeware out there that would enable me to do this?

Thanks,

Ron

Perhaps this? Not used myself.

Looks interesting but requires .net

I suggest ImageMagick - command line so not to everyones taste.

Thanks to everyone who replied, but I didn't make myself clear. What I need
to do is put my name in the #Properties# of the image (on the
right-click/properties, Summary tab in XP). I knew I made a bloody mistake
as soon as I pressed send. Different ballgame now isn't it? Sorry.

Any suggestions please?

Ron.

Sounds like you want a Exif batch editor
(You can see Exif in the Summary if you click on the Advanced button)

Maybe "Exifer for Windows" can do it

Sorry.

Select all the pics and right click and then change.

Won't allow changes during a multiple selection. I think the rt-click
comment fields need to be entered manually for each file since they are
not transferred from EXIF or IPTC data.

Put a keyword into search of your favourite freeware site.
EXIFManager
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Others/EXIFManager.shtml
Rename Master

10 pages extra here.

I followed up on this a bit because I figured having your name in there

somewhere could be a good thing that I might like myself. During the
google searching I wound up back here via google's web thingy
(http://groups.google.com/group/alt.comp.freeware/browse_thread/thread/45f17f16c636fb26)

From this thread I checked out Exifer for Windows
http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/Exifer/Exifer.html
however there was a reason I discounted it, I think it only does dates???

So then I went on to the ExifTool and GUI.
http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
http://freeweb.siol.net/hrastni3/foto/exif/exiftoolgui.htm

No Install - excellent for trying out. Through the GUI I can edit the
copyright line in the exif data. I don't seem to have an "owner" (Fuji
camera). I can't seem to do anything in batches though :(

So now I'm interested in an answer to this myself.

I should have added here that the ReadMe.txt that comes with ExifToolGUI
says
"About Edit form
---------------------
Doesn't matter if single file or multiple files are selected, Edit form
is allways filled with tag values. If more than one file is selected,
Edit form will contain metadata from file, which is first selected in
file list (on top of the selected files)."

However if I select multiple files the tag values and names all vanish
and both columns go blank.
